PegOpera Community Edition

PegOpera is now available as a "Freeware" under the terms of the Community Edition License, particularly to serve the scientific community.

This version, although subject to restrictions, allows calculating the quality of surface water over large domains.

Prerequisite

The installation of PegOpera 6 Community Edition requires a PC under Windows (10 or more recent) with the minimal following specifications:

• 64-bit processor
• 4GB RAM
• 10GB free hard-disk
• 3D Display adapter compatible with OpenGL 1.2.

Installation

Download the file PegOpera_6.5_CE_last_x64.zip using the link in the next section, and extract it in a folder reserved for that purpose (e;g. "My Documents\PegOpera" ), while keeping the directory tree.

Launch the program "PegOperaCE.exe" (it is useful to create a shortcut on the desktop or in the launch bar) as an administrator. After many files have unpacked in the installation directory, stop it and launch it with normal user rights. Choose the workspace location on a disk with enough space. All the dta and result files will be stored in this place. When the inetrface opens, Click on "Help/About PegOPERA CE". A window opens, briefly describing PegOpera software, and specifying teh version in use.
